It’s that time again! During our last drive for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank back in May we collected over 175 pounds of food, paper goods, and personal care items. We are hoping our graduate student residents, a lot of whom are moving in the next few days, will be able to donate even more!
Here’s a little recap on the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank:
Provides emergency food assistance to more than 104,000 members of the Western and Central Virginian community each month.- Collected over 700,000 pounds of food last year alone. That’s enough to provide meals for more than half a million hungry families!
- Encourages you to donate many items (diapers, toilet paper, shampoo, etc.) in addition to non-perishable foods.
You can bring your donations to 304 14th Street, 1308 John Street, 312 13th Street, 762 King Street, 1982 Arlington Blvd., or the Woodard Properties Leasing office until July 30th.
