Yesterday the second group of volunteers from Woodard Properties ventured to the Morven Kitchen Garden where they -with the leadership of two University of Virginia student volunteers- had a wonderfully productive and informative time. Our team was able to contribute to the garden by weed-eating, tilling, weeding, harvesting, assembling a new mower, removing rocks, and planting winter vegetables in a new bed. They even gathered valuable information to use in their own gardens at home! We are so appreciative of the student volunteers who make this “living laboratory in sustainable market farming” possible, and thank them for welcoming us to the farm. Check out these wonderful pictures and videos for a glimpse of our team’s hard work.
