On September 10, 2014 Woodard team members Joe, Pat, and Phil spent the day volunteering at the Morven Kitchen Garden, “a one-acre, living laboratory in sustainable market farming at UVa.” University of Virginia student and Farm Manager, Emily, arranged for our volunteers to perform the following tasks:
- tilling
- grass and weed removal
- compost installation
- seed planting
- drip line installation
- planting
- watering
- harvesting
Our team had a great time working with Emily and we are looking forward to volunteering at the UVa Morven Farm Kitchen Garden in the future!
