HVAC Technician

($28– $32 per hour plus exceptional bonus plans)

Woodard Properties, a locally owned property management and development company in Charlottesville, is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our Facilities Team!

The person in this role will troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain HVAC systems for our residential and commercial properties located throughout Charlottesville.

Woodard Properties provides a company vehicle, tools, and supplies. 

Work hours are generally 8:30 am – 5 pm, Monday – Friday.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

  • Residential & Commercial HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance
  • After-hours on-call rotation approximately 6 weeks per year
  • Assist the maintenance team with general apartment maintenance when needed
  • Assist with inclement weather preparedness and snow/ice removal when needed
  • Assist in other aspects of property management as needed

Summary of Job Requirements:

  • 3+ years of HVAC diagnostic experience, repairs, service & maintenance
  • CFC Certification (Type II or Universal) & OSHA 10
  • Proven experience and understanding of HVAC systems and components
  • HVAC installation experience is a plus
  • Proven track record of professionalism and providing exceptional customer service
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work off ladders, in tight spaces, and on roofs
  • An eagerness to share HVAC knowledge and train peers
  • A valid driver’s license and acceptable background check (No DUI or reckless convictions within the past 3 years)
